You know what I'm talking about. Sometimes you just need a brownie, but it's too damn cold out to buy more provisions, so you're stuck making an inferior recipe because you only have enough ingredients to make that and not an awesome brownie recipe.
You know exactly what I mean.
I guess this is a lesson... always keep on hand more butter than you think necessary.
I couldn't agree more - times when I need this kind of food always co-incide with times when I really don't feel like heading out to the shops to buy those essential ingredients!! This looks good though - what is in the topping?

ReplyDeleteThe topping is Andes Peppermint Crunch chips that I never used for baking (you could use any kind of chocolate chip type thing) - just pour on top of brownies right after they come out of the oven, and the heat will melt the chips. Then spread them with a knife to get a more even layer.
